John Pascal

John Pascal is a Principal of Paramount Capital Advisors (PCA). Before joining Paramount, John served in a similar role as Principal of JMB Financial Advisors where he originated over $1 billion of capital.


Prior to JMB, John served as senior vice president and chief investment officer of Brookdale Living Community, a company that provides senior housing nationwide. His experience also includes work as co-chief operating officer of Horizon Bay Management and Senior Lifestyle Corporation and service as executive vice president of Heitman Financial, where he was responsible for acquisition of multi-family, industrial, retail and office properties on behalf of institutional clients.

John earned a master’s degree in business from the Kellogg Graduate School of Management at Northwestern University and bachelor’s degree in accounting from the University of Illinois.

Sanjeev Misra

Sanjeev Misra is President of Paramount Capital Advisors located in Chicago, Illinois. Sanjeev is responsible for general company strategies, hotel valuation analysis and business development. Sanjeev is also President of Paramount Lodging Advisors, a national hotel advisory team exclusively committed to the hospitality industry.


Sanjeev has also previously served in other capacities such as Director of Real Estate for JHM Hotels in Greenville, SC, managing all real estate holdings for an owner, developer and operator of 35 hotels under 14 franchise brands. He has been responsible for all phases of the development process, as well as all hotel acquisitions and dispositions.

Sanjeev received his Bachelor of Science at Cornell University’s School of Hotel Administration and his Masters in Business Administration from the University of Michigan Ross School of Business.

Matt McClellan

Matt McClellan is a Managing Director of Paramount Capital Advisors. He possesses over twelve years of experience in the Commercial Mortgage, Investment Banking, and Private Equity realms. He is equally active within the Debt & Equity Capital Markets on a National Level.


Across his career, Matt has been directly involved in north of 500 transactions with a total realized valuation exceeding $21B.

Matt’s relationships encompass High Net-Worth Family Offices, Life Companies, Fannie/Freddie backed Lenders, CMBS Lenders, National Balance Sheet Desks, Participating JV Construction Lenders, Regional Banks, the SBA, & Credit Union Networks. He selectively transacts with Debt Funds & Private Lenders.

These Relationships span across North America, extend to Western & Central Europe, as well as to the Middle East & Singapore.

Matt’s dynamic experience within the CRE Capital Markets includes being contracted to jump-start a Privately Held Participating Development Lender led by the former CEO of a Public REIT. With the goal of a NYSE IPO within one year of inception of the company, he served as the entity’s main underwriter, on an independently contracted basis, and played a crucial role in the shadow-banking of the IPO on the NYSE.

Matt has been involved in Joint-Venture Executions with a handful of the largest Private Equity Firms in the United States and has been contracted by some of the Highest Net Worth Family Offices in North America.

Matt has been more involved in his client’s transactions compared to competitors in his industries. To execute market-leading terms & structures for his clients, he has at times, worked with Lending Institutions to procure liquidity windows by selling notes off a Capital Provider’s Balance Sheet. As a result, he has been able to achieve market-leading terms, structures, and Cost of Capital for his clients. Matt understands how to be a Market-Maker.

Matt’s career accomplishments include being a Decision Maker in a four-man office which was the second largest producer of annual CMBS Issuance for a top four US Investment Bank. Other accomplishments include holding decision-making roles on executions featured in the second page of the Wall Street Journal and ghost-writing for major national publications.

Adeel Amin

Adeel Amin is a Managing Director at Paramount Capital Advisors.  Working alongside Paramount Lodging, Adeel is tasked with sourcing and placing hospitality debt with banking partners nationwide.


Prior to joining Paramount, Adeel served as a Vice President of Originations for a private lending firm.  In 2022 alone he sourced over $1B in capital spanning a diverse set of commercial asset classes including hospitality, multi family and light industrial.  His experience also includes creating GP/LP/JV partnerships for preferred equity and debt for a variety of developments across the US.

Adeel holds a bachelor’s degree in computer science and mathematics  from University of Illinois in Champaign Urbana.

Tyler Cornelius

Tyler Cornelius is a Senior Associate with Paramount Capital Advisors focusing on sourcing the most cost-efficient capital including conventional, SBA, bridge loans and CMBS debt, to meet the financing needs of his clients.


Prior to joining PCA, Tyler worked in investment management at William Blair & Co. assisting in the day to day management and oversight of institutional investment portfolios. Prior to that, he worked in the hospitality industry as a finance and operations manager for Premier Restaurant Group.

Tyler received his Bachelor’s degree in Finance from the Driehaus College of Business at DePaul University.
